WalkCT's Dynamic Duo

This month we profile the “dynamic duo” of Peter and Barbara Rzasa, WalkCT Family Guides and volunteers for a number of other conservation organizations in Connecticut. When I asked them about why they became Family Guides, here is what they had to say:

“We both always loved being outdoors, enjoying hiking and bird watching. After spending our careers working indoors, we decided to spend our time volunteering for a number of nature-based organizations. Two years ago, we were asked to become CFPA WalkCT Family Guides. We have hiked with our children and grandchildren and enjoyed sharing the wonders of nature with them. Becoming Ramble leaders was very appealing to us, so we signed up. We found the experience very rewarding especially when we hike with families with young children. It is fulfilling to see the participants enjoy the outdoors and learn a bit about our environment. “
