Location Details

Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is a wonderful place to visit with walking paths throughout its 40+ acres and additional trails in the surrounding 150 acres at Beardsley Park. Spend an hour or the whole day and see more than 300 animals representing primarily North and South American species. Come learn about our many endangered and threatened species and see our South American rainforest with free-flight aviary and the prairie dog exhibit. Visit the New England Farmyard and take a walk along the hoofstock trail featuring bison, pronghorn, deer, and more. Before you leave, grab a bite at the Peacock Café, eat in the Picnic Grove, and take a ride on our carousel. We can't wait to see you!

Driving Directions:

From Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) from New Haven, take Exit 52 (South to Bridgeport) to Route 8 & 25. Proceed to Exit 5 (Boston Ave). At the end of the ramp, bear right and go to the 5th traffic light. Turn left onto Noble Avenue and proceed to the Beardsley Park entrance on the left. Follow the signs to the Zoo entrance on right.


From I-95 (CT Turnpike), take Exit 27A to Route 8 & 25. Proceed to Exit 5 (Boston Ave). At the traffic light at the end of the ramp, go left to the 4th traffic light. Turn left onto Noble Avenue and proceed to the Beardsley Park entrance on the left. Follow signs to the Zoo entrance on right.
