This is a rugged trail with a steep entrance. After the initial slope, the rest of terrain is clear and even with some rocky parts to the trail. A mountain bike or light hiking boot is appropriate. This is a great location to take in a peaceful and serene part of Wethersfield.

How to get there
| Driving Directions: | From I-91, take exit 23 toward Rocky Hill/Route 3/West Street. Travel west on West Street. Turn right onto Route 3 (Cromwell Avenue). Turn left onto Route 160 (New Britian Avenue). Turn right onto Hayes Road (which turns into Highland Street and then Thornbush Road). Go for approximately a mile and the 1860 Reservoir entrance will be on your left. |
