A jewel on the banks of the Connecticut River, Mortensen Riverfront plaza is the centerpiece of the Riverfront Park System. Spanning I-91, the park reunites downtown Hartford with the waterfront, bringing pedestrians back to the shoreline and connecting Hartford with East Hartford through the Founders Bridge Promenade. Enjoy performances at our amphitheater stage, take a boat cruise, or order up some food (May - Sept.). Come by foot, car or boat--we’ve got a place to dock your boat. Take leisurely walk on the 30 or 60 minute loop.

How to get there
| Driving Directions: | From I-91 southbound, take Exit 31 State Street. The pedestrian staircase and elevator to the Plaza are on your left when you reach the end of the exit ramp. To continue to the Morgan Street parking garage, go straight through the intersection and take your first right onto Market Street. At the second intersection, turn right onto Talcott Street. The entrance to the Morgan Street garage is on your left. From I-91 northbound, take Exit 32B Trumbull Street. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Market Street and pass under the elevated highway. Take your second left onto Talcott Street. Parking is available in the Morgan Street garage on your left. To continue to the Plaza, turn right onto Columbus Boulevard and the pedestrian staircase and elevator to the Plaza will be on your left at the intersection of Columbus Boulevard and State Street. |
