Location Details

The property, which was once the site of a farm, is in a lovely area, much of which is still farmland today. The many stonewalls along the trails are evidence of this former land use. Trails wind through deciduous woodlands, along Wigwam Brook, over gentle rolling hills dotted with interesting rock formations, through a large hayfield, and a milkweed meadow. In 2005, a conifer plantation was planted and an early-successional habitat was created to benefit birds and wildlife. There are also two small ponds, and a butterfly garden. In various locations along the trails, comfortable benches are situated. Two benches beside the pond, are great spots for watching birds, frogs, and dragonflies.
