Location Details

The Sprague Land Preserve, formerly known as the Mukluk Preserve, was purchased by the Town of Sprague in 2005 with the help of a Land Acquisition grant from the state's Department of Environmental Protection. Residents and visitors are welcome to take in the beautiful setting, wooded trails, and area wildlife. Located just below the Scotland Dam on the right side of the Shetucket River, 1 mile of river front can also be enjoyed.

How to get there

Driving Directions:

Take I-395 to Exit 83. Rte. 395 North, exit 83. Follow Route 97 to the intersection of Route 207. Turn left on Route 207 and travel approximately 2.4 miles, turn right on to Holton Road (across from cemetary). Proceed for approximately 1 mile. The Sprague Preserve is on the right .7 mile down the dirt road.
